Endless egoism

Two brothers got 10 dollars to buy candy from their mother.  In the candyshop the oldest took advantage of his power and said the other could only get 2,5. The younger thought that this where very egoistic of him.

Isn’t that egoistic of him to think that thought aswell?  to want more than the universe unfolds to give him?

I would say so, as all ego are based on self interest. I don’t see how one can disconnect oneself with ones egoism, as every choice you make, even if you believe it is for others or only you, it’s an egoistic decision in the sense that it comes from your desires, beliefs and so on.

If you make a decision that’s against your original desire to please someone else, than that is your new desire. So as i see it, it’s impossible to NOT be egoistic

For example if you are an altruist, and offer everything you have for others, that’s your egoistic choice, that is your own desire and decision.

Yes it was egocentric of the bigger brother to take a larger cut, but it’s also egoistic of the younger to not be pleased with what is. He made a problem out of the situation that unfolded.

So we’re all basically egoistic in the end

Or not..  As we are not separate from the rest of the universe;  you are a part of, made and formed by the universe, everything that happens trough you is the universe doing, it’s thinking, it’s thinking or it things. There is never YOU and YOURSELF that’s separate from everything else that takes a decision on its own.

Because you wouldn’t know of any decisions, how to act, words or even think if there where nothing in the universe to condition you, or affect you, then you just simply wouldn’t be.

The lust for the East

After inheriting a couple of the ways of Tao and a holistic view, including my previous knowledge about psychology and neuro-semantics ; I’ve started to see more and more how everything is interconnected with each other and how it affects our symbiosis to some extent. And i see a concept in the west that brings a lot of disturbance to the people, which blinds us for the greater cause we’re helping out with; I feel the need to share my view on this.

I’ve been aware of how much lust and greed most or many western people are having, for “a while”. We live on an economy based system where we work our ways to gaining comfort, giving ourselves treats and pleasures; these “milestones” gives us our fixes, of what we’re adequate with, or not. All this distortions makes us put and make meaning about personal needs and pleasures, rather than for the whole. For we are not alone, we are not just one, you couldn’t be you without the rest of the universe, it’s a part of you, and you’re a part of it.

Many have to spend about 1/3 of our days on work or getting back and forth to it; 1/3 on sleeping, then the rest on what you’re actually here for, living. Which often goes to using up your time on other “brainless” distortions like TV-shows, and other different kinds of brainless media or whatnot that pleases your greed for fulfilling your desires, having your “fix”.

I’m not saying everyone is like this, but many I experience as so. People seem so  distracted about all these things that they forget who they are a part of, what’s really important to them and how it affects everything around you.  If you’re so certain that i’m wrong, how can you be? you’ve been shaped and conditions by how you’ve made meaning out of the exact order of “reality” you’ve experienced. You might have you’re beliefs on what’s right, but how can you know it is?

I’ve talked with a lot of lively teenagers and students  that wants to learn and experience a lot of the world, but they feel so stuck because of this system, which put them in some kind of debt, either economical, or psychologically out of principles by attending to school, work, taking care of family or  similar affairs.
I believe this is sad, its possible to work your way to achieve these goals, but as most of the world is right now, you’ve to spend a lot of time in this “distorted” environment before getting there, over all this hindrances telling you that you can’t be like you want to, with your current balance of economy or whatnot. The society is telling you what to do, and obey it’s rules, you’re not free as a subordinate of this system.

I find it disturbing how so many of us work for these societies, corporations and countries, to feed the economy based industries and whatnot; that funds  them enough to continue  their quest of making products that doesn’t last, exploiting the consumers need for more. Creating supply and demand – Creating/inducing desires into man, then create the products to fill them. Control the market
All this greed for these “unnecessary” boosts the progression towards a polluted nature; an unhabitual nature and/or less hospitable. Yes it’s just another symbiosis, but it’s one that’s not good for man and other life(negative decay) in my opinion.

So this is what makes me go to the east, to experience more of the world that isn’t touched so much about this westernized planetary destructive system. As i want to experience and be around people who cherish other people and the nature for what it is, that gives it though, and don’t take more than it gives back.

I don’t feel like being a part of this parasitic system anymore. I want to help this process of growth, that have made “me”.

This view don’t directly drag me down in some ways, it’s just something that i want people to be aware of, and I would find it more comforting knowing that I’m not a part of a process like this.
But that doesn’t mean I feel sad that i do, and can’t thrive here. Of course not, i just feel it takes so much of the human quality of people.

You are your surroundings and it is you, how do you want to interact and analyse this universe?
